AKA Soror Nicole Betschman named woman of the year

Nicole Betschman has been selected 2010 Woman of the Year by the Pirate Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
Betschman has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bowling Green State University and bachelors’ and master’s degrees in health education from East Carolina University. She has taught several classes at ECU.
Betschman is involved in the Pirate Charter Chapter of the ABWA and was one of the Pirate Charter Chapter’s scholarship winners in 2007. She also is involved with Phi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Betschman is employed by Easter Seals UCP at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and teaches online for the University of Phoenix. She volunteers within the Greenville community and was featured in mixer, a Daily Reflector publication, in its Top 30 Under 30.
The Pirate Charter Chapter meets the second Monday of each month at McAlister’s at 6 p.m. The group’s mission is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others to grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
