Phi Beta Sigma International President designates November as Military Appreciation Month
I designate this month Phi Beta Sigma Military Appreciation Month.
Let us celebrate and recognize that this month provides us an opportunity to remember the many blessings and bounties afforded us by our military men and women. It is a time to acknowledge our military family and friends, and to open our homes to those who may have been away from their loved ones due to training or deployments.
Notably, Military Appreciation Month includes both Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, so I ask each brother to render a special prayer and give thanks for everyone in our volunteer military who has made the ultimate sacrifice to serve this country and to protect freedom the world over. I am honored to be the President of men that are part of two professional organizations with so many magnificent people. I appreciate the hard work and sacrifice of each active service member, reserve member, and retiree who has been amongst our military ranks. I look forward to your continuous service in our Brotherly band and your service contribution to our grateful Nation. I regard your service, past and present, as among the most honored gifts that could be received by a fraternal brother. I employ every member of Phi Beta Sigma to contact a member of our Armed Forces and thank them for their service this Month and remind them that they are appreciated and loved by us all.
Thank You and May God Bless You and May God Bless America
Fraternally yours,
Brother Jimmy Hammock
