The ideal candidate will assist PCMA in elevating the level of service and value to PCMA Partners. This position will manage key PCMA partner relationships, conduct business reviews, and develop and manage partnership operating management systems. This role is vital in maximizing the partner value proposition, providing partner marketing support, and providing proof of all the promised deliverables to partners. Extensive negotiating skills, attention to detail, people skills, premium customer service, exceptional communication, timely follow-through, ability to pick things up quickly, meet deadlines, and working with little supervision are all essential to this position and in building relationships with our partners. With these skills, the Senior Manager, Partner Relations will assist in exceeding the needs and goals of PCMA and our partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Savvy negotiator that will develop lasting business relationships with assigned partners, demonstrate follow-through, accountability, timely and regular communication, and ensure 100% partner retention.
•Account Management: work with partners to build strategy, brainstorm activation plans and manage all deliverables including, but not limited to: collect recognition materials, provide materials to appropriate internal departments, and meet appropriate deadlines. Serve as primary and/or secondary business contact for assigned partners.
•Develop fulfillment grids that outline deliverables, deadlines, and roles and responsibilities.
•Act as key communication liaison between PCMA, Partner and all related departments/entities affected by the partner relationship.
•Manage operational aspects of the Partnership Program including, but not limited to: track activation credits, develop partnership agreement templates, draft new and renewal partnership agreements, process group membership renewals for partners, and manage partnership program budgets.
•Develop partnership operating management system in collaboration with PCMA technology team in order to efficiently manage partner relationships, internal stakeholders, and all partner deliverables.
•Directly manage the Specialist, Partner Relations role and assist Director in development of partnership team members and internal department stakeholders.
•Oversee the development of Partner Fulfillment Presentations – provide partners with qualitative and quantitative summaries — Executive Summary, By the Numbers Report, Event Presentation, and Partner Activation. This includes proof of deliverables through the assembly of these presentation reports (i.e. website printouts, advertising tearsheets, photographs, signage proofs, etc.)
•Develop and manage special partnership program projects as assigned: Partners & Planners One-on-One appointments, Focus Groups, Virtual and Social Media platforms.
•Serve as project captain for assigned events/projects, demonstrate effective leadership skills and hold team members accountable, focused, and on deadline.
•Manage the Space Verification program relationship with MMI including but, not limited to; monthly meetings with MMI; all marketing and promotions; PCMA driven leads; sales coordination; and verified properties (plaques).
•Contribute content for Partner E-Newsletter and Partner web pages on PCMA Website.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and department head.
•Contributing to development and implementation of all department Standard Operating Procedures
•Adhering to all department budgets, tracking actual versus budget and obtaining the appropriate required authorizations of any spending
•Adhering to all department and organizational policies and procedures
•Attend PCMA Annual Meeting and various other meetings as deemed necessary by management including business reviews for partners
•College degree required, preferable in marketing or business
•Experience in negotiations and developing lasting business relationships
•Experience in account and project management, with a marketing background
•Experience working in a fast paced, deadline-oriented sales environment working with several different types of clients essential
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
•Ability to manage and develop complex business relationships
•A strategic thinker that is constantly thinking of value creation, new assets, and member benefits
•An excellent and open communicator that is comfortable doing presentations
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems and Windows applications
•Extensive experience in MS Outlook, MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and database systems required (knowledge of Aptify a plus)
•Experience in Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, E-communication software, Survey software tools, Video file formats, and website development software particularly preferred
•Ability to work on own and delegate tasks, but take direction from superiors, and seek assistance when needed
•Ability to make appropriate decisions and to know when to refer decisions to others.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and be responsive to client emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
•Excellent command of the English language, verbally and in writing.
•Possess strong organizational skills, working with multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.
•Accurate, precise and great attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
•Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
•Ability to sit for extended periods of time in performing the work.
•Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
•Ability to grasp objects utilizing the fingers (fine motor manipulation).
•Ability to travel by air or ground transportation as required in performing the work
