Delta Soror, Educator Janico Frost, dies
Janico E. Frost, of Hamilton, transitioned from this life on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at home.
Ms. Frost was a graduate of Red Bank Regional High School and Central State University in Ohio. She later received a fellowship to Montclair State University where she earned her master’s degree in psychology.
She was employed in the East Orange School District and she worked as an educational program specialist in California. She also worked for the Hartford Graduate Center in Connecticut, West Windsor Township, and for Project Impact at the Brookdale Community College. She retired from the State of New Jersey Department of Education where she worked as an education program specialist. Her health forced her retirement from the state.
She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She was a faithful member of the Shrewsbury Avenue AME Zion Church in Red Bank.
She was predeceased by her parents, John D. and Elizabeth Frost, and a brother, Donald Frost of Wheaton, Md.
She is survived by a brother, the Rev. Jerald Frost (Dorothy) of Graham, N.C.; a sister, Joan E. Gray (Robert) of Tinton Falls; a sister-in-law, Amanda Frost; three aunts; three nieces; three nephews; cousins and many friends.
