Delta Soror Jennifer Bolden joins UHY Advisors Georgia’s Enterprise Risk Assurance Services division

(http://www.uhy-us.com) today announced the appointment of Jennifer Bolden as Senior Manager for the firm’s Enterprise Risk Assurance Services practice group in the Atlanta office.  Bolden will be responsible for engagement management and client service in risk management, internal audit co-sourcing and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.  Nationally, UHY Advisors is one of the top 20 professional services firms specializing in business consulting and tax services to public and private companies in the Fortune 1000 and middle market.

Bolden brings to UHY Advisors’ clients an integrated and practical approach to identifying and building collaborations to mitigate risk.  Her experience includes:
•   In-depth experience with public accounting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, risk assessments and risk-based internal audits and other control-related activities in various commercial and financial services industries, with a specialty in government and not-for-profit agencies.
•   In prior positions, Bolden has coordinated and compiled business processes and key controls and evaluated the effectiveness of the system of internal controls for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
•   She has provided technical expertise and consultation to audit staff and first-level audit management and developed audit work papers and audit reports using department-recognized formats.
•   She developed a data-mining product using ACL to assist clients with continuous monitoring/auditing and data analysis for compliance with SAS 99 and internal audit sampling.

Prior to joining UHY, Bolden was a Senior Audit Manager with Accume Partners, a consulting firm in the Atlanta area specializing in Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and was part of MetLife’s Real Estate Investments’ audit team after spending 4½ years in public accounting.

Bolden holds a Master of Business Administration from Georgia College and State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Fort Valley State University.  She is currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting from Capella University.  Bolden is also an adjunct online professor and helps to develop undergraduate and graduate-level accounting and auditing courses for various colleges, including DeVry/Keller University Online and Carrington College.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Bolden volunteers with Hands on Atlanta and is a charter member of the Gwinnett County Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
