Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Announces Scholarships Winner
The Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. recently awarded ten (10) $1,000 scholarships to area high school college-bound students.
The scholarship selection process was a combination of academic excellence including grade point average and ACT scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and leadership. Scholarship winners are: Taeler Coleman- Richwood High, Maya Conway – Carroll Hi, K’Deidra Massey – Wossman High, Natasha McClain – Wossman High, Bria Savage – Wossman High, Lindsay Walker – West Ouachita High, Lakira Washington – Richwood High, Kierra Washington – Richwood High, Gertie Woods – Carroll High, and Kalandia Woods – Richwood High. The scholarship recipients are very excited about their future and are looking forward to enrolling in Louisiana colleges and universities.
These scholarship awards are part of Monroe Alumnae Chapter’s focus on education as a component of Delta Sigma Theta’s five point programmatic thrust. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority believes that education is the foundation for a successful future for our young people and the success of our communities as a whole. The Monroe Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta is proud to present these scholarships to help assist with college expenses for these students.
