Kappa Frater Kendall Lewis, New Orleans area Polemarch dies
Kendall Joseph Lewis answered the Master’s call to eternal rest on Sunday, May 30, 2010. He was the devoted husband of Nicole Blackmon Lewis. Loving father of Kameron Josiah Lewis. Son of Janice Thomas and Joseph Lewis, Jr. Second Parents Israel and Joyce Sidney. Son-in-law of Elbert and Janie Blackmon. Loving brother of Donald Lewis (Devita), Julien Lewis (Yolanda), Errol Sidney (Rhonda), Kevin Randolph (Kim), Kanita Lewis (Terry), Kanesha Lewis, Leah Lewis and Karen Hutchison (James). Kendall is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was raised in New Orleans, LA and graduated from McDonogh #35 High School in New Orleans, Class of 1989. He continued his education at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in Lafayette earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. Kendall was employed as a Pro Administrator and Claims Adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company.
At the time of his death, Kendall served as Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and was an active member of Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club.

Pastor Antoine M. Barriere, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude with a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park. D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
