Kappa Frater Jason Overton, dies at 31

Jason A. Overton, 31, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011.

At the time of his death, Jason was a School Teacher for Dekalb County School System. He was a member of St. Alfonzo COGIC. Jason was the son of James Bellamy and Daisy Overton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Lindsey.

He is survived by four brothers, Rodney, Craig and James Overton, and Fabian Vereen; three sisters, Geraldine Jackson (Calvin), Ann Vincent and Selena McKinnon; and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, March 4, 2011, at Greater Emmanuel COGIC, 704 Celey Street, Hampton, Va. Interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
