Sigma Gamma Rho Soror elected Vice Chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
The Lambda Delta Sigma Chapter (Anne Arundel County, MD) of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is delighted to recognize their Basileus (President) Kimberly N. Ellison-Taylor’s election as the 2015-2016 Vice Chair of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) of over 400,000 members. Kimberly was elected at the 2015 October Fall Council Meeting in Hawaii. She will serve with also newly elected AICPA Chair Timothy Christen of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP.
Kimberly joined Sigma on April 28, 1990 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and has served in a number of volunteer leadership roles. As President of Lambda Delta Sigma Alumnae in Anne Arundel County, MD. In this capacity, she executes the sorority’s mission of community service.
Professionally, she has worked with NASA Goddard Space Center, Motorola, KPMG and Prince George’s County, Maryland. At the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Kimberly earned a B.A. in Information Systems Management/Technical Writing, an MBA from Loyola University, and a MSIT from Carnegie Mellon University. Kimberly is also a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor credentials.
