The 21st Annual Mr. Black Penn State Pageant
The True Measure of A Black Man
The Mr. Black Penn State Pageant is a program designed to uplift the African American male and honor his positive influences in the community. As an organization of African heritage, Zeta Phi Beta seeks to do this through our pageant. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority believes that as finer women we should support the positive African American males in the community through programs such as the Mr. Black Penn State Pageant.
The Mr. Black Penn State Pageant will give a display of the value of the black male and break the stereotypes given in the news and media. Here on the Penn State Campus there is a low retention rate of minorities and this pageant shows that the men selected are scholarly, intelligent, involved in the community, and talented. Overall, this program gives students a chance to see an uplifting and empowerment of the black men on campus while being entertained.
